Think you have the sweetest
lips in Mannington? Then hurry in to one of our local businesses,
pick up an entry card, apply your favorite lipstick and pucker up!
Starting February 1st 2012, businesses will display flyers and a
"lip cling" in their window to let the public know they are
participating. Judging will take place February 14th to
proclaim who has the Sweetest Lips in Mannington. The winner
will receive a gift basket made with items from our Main Street
businesses.

Along with the Sweetest Lips contest, Main
Street will hold a fundraiser to sell custom painted wooden hearts
with personalized messages to proclaim your love for someone
special. This is one of the annual fundraisers for Main Street
and benefits the yearly events held.
The hearts, available in
pink, white or red, are $5.00 and will be displayed throughout town
and on Citizen's Square. If you would like to purchase a heart
for a loved one, please email Rana Taylor at
mannmain@citynet.net or contact the Main Street Office at
304-986-2037.
Any Main Street business who would like to
participate by hosting the entry forms, displaying wooden hearts or
by donating to the gift basket, please contact Main Street. |

| Main Street has completed the purchase
of the Historic Railroad Train Depot. Members will be working
throughout 2012 to restore and repair the Depot to a functional,
viable space for the city. Grant funding is being sought for the
